The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for the position of Communications Operator.

Come join a team of professionals dedicated to making a difference.  The Communications Operator position is a career that handles emergency law communications via radio dispatch as well as 911 emergency and non-emergency calls.  You must have the ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment, make quick decisions, and be able to multi task.

 REQUIRED MINIMUM CRITERIA

18 years of age or older

High School diploma or GED

Ability to type 40 wpm

 Applicant must successfully pass computer-based testing (Criticall)

SALARY

Communications Operator (911 Dispatcher)

While in training 27,872.  After completion of training 34,840.
